And What's The Deal With These Cell Phones?
Okay, this is pretty much going to be a filler post.
I have been travelling a little bit for work the past couple weeks. One trip to New York City, and one trip to Tampa.
New York was wonderful. We went to a great dinner at Mario Batali's Babbo Ristorante. Absolutely amazing. You have to go.
There is one thing that bugged me with my travels, and that was the use of mobile phones. This is by no means some blinding new discovery; I'm just wondering when we all got so important. It literally feels like people need a fix before getting into the terminal. The flight attendant will come on the intercom and announce that mobile phones are able to be used again. People dig into their pockets as if their heads were going to explode.
We have all had that conversation with a spouse or friend,
"Hey."
"Hey, how's it going, have you landed?"
"Yeah, I'm trying to get off the plane now, but it's really crowded."
"Cool, how was the flight?"
"It wasn't too bad."
"That's good. Well, I guess I will see you when you get out of security."
"Alright, talk to you then."
It's proven to be a fun people watching exercise. I guess you have to keep yourself busy while in the airport.
