New Place

Again, posting has been non-existent. Sheri, Destin, and I have completed 99% of our move, so hopefully there will be more rage content soon....or not....

Pleasant Surprise

I caught the pilot episode of NBC's The Office tonight. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Being a huge fan of the BBC original, I was a little bit skeptical.

This first episode of the American version was a great mix of new and old material. Aside from all those home decorating shows, The Office appears to be the one recent successful migration from across the pond.

Escape

For some reason Ziggy Marley's Dragonfly has been stuck in my head. Not so much for environmental reasons or some philosophical dilemma of how the manishness of man fits into nature.

It is mostly because I have spring/cabin fever and the reggae beats get me going.

everybody's worried about time
but i just keep that sh*t off my mind
people living on twenty four hour clocks
but we're on a ride that never stops

hey mister bee the world change but you remain the same
and i wonder how you'll survive with the environment going down the drain
hey miss dragonfly i see you look at me with your beautiful eyes
you must be wondering what type of creature am i

a dog looked at me and said ziggy why can't we trust man
puss and me get together why can't you all just understand
an old tree stood there silently listening to every word we said
as a tear fell he cried what type of creature is man

i said hey mister tree the world change but you remain the same
and i wonder how you survive with the environment going down the drain
hey miss butterfly I see you look at me with your beautiful eyes
you must be wondering what kind of creature am i
you must be wondering what kind of creature am i

everybody's worried about time
but i just keep that sh*t off my mind
people living on twenty four hour clocks
but we're on a ride yes we're on a ride we're on a ride that never stops

hey mister bee the world change but you remain the same
and i hope you'll survive with the environment going down the drain
hey miss butterfly i see you look at me with your beautiful eyes
you must be wondering what type of creature am i

Tennessee Jed

Sheri, Destin and I are chilling in Tennessee this weekend, heading back to snowy(from what I've heard and read) Colorado tomorrow. It was 73 here yesterday. Lovely.

It's been a blast watching the conference championships this weekend, eagerly awaiting the release of "the bracket".

I tried a Maria Guerrero cigar yesterday. I've been meaning to try it for awhile. According to JR Cigars:

A revival of a classic brand originally created to capitalize on the sensual beauty of the much heralded Spanish stage actress Maria Guerrero, today’s incarnation is an extremely creamy blending of long leaf fillers from Honduras, Nicaragua, and Peru wrapped in genuine African Cameroon. Notes of coffee and chocolate enhanced by a gentle spice make this a decadently pleasurable cigar to smoke.

It was pretty tasty. I'll need a few more sticks to form a solid opinion. I'm always a little hesitant to try newer labels, but this was a pleasant surprise.

Apology Post #10

Again, my time for blogging has been gobbled up by much more important stuff. I apologize for the extreme lack of content. But, if you have been stopping by, I do hope you have enjoyed the color scheme. I'm quite proud of it.

I'm waiting for a post from Ten Fingers, 6 Strings about the Whiskeys of the World Expo. I believe it is this Saturday in the lovely city by the bay.

Expected Conversation Between TF6S and FTS:

Time: 3:30 AM MST. Sunday, March 6th

TF6S: Maybe now you'll agree, drinking has it's benefits.
FTS: Perhaps.
TF6S: Maybe now you'll agree, drinking has it's benefits.
FTS: You just said that.
TF6S: Now it's time for the alcohol to take affect. BBBBBBBBBBBBLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Love it!
